Teamworking and Communication
Bob Roberts of S&R Consultants tells how he uses an innovative product for teambuilding
and breaking down barriers to communication.
Psychometric tests, long the domain of the large employer, are increasingly used in small
companies to encourage staff to "know themselves" and "know each other"
better, creating improved teamworking as a result of increased understanding. The reporting
is carried out on a safe and confidential basis and it is then left to the individual to decide
whether they want to share the results.
"However," Bob said, "The 'Insights' psychometric reports are both comprehensive
and motivational and we have never had a single participant who has not been proud enough of
their report to share its contents." The key is this sharing of results as by sharing
we learn how we are all different and can bring different skills together so that the total
effort is greater than the sum of the individual parts.
Additionally, the Insight reports is written to be very useable, headings include; Personal
Style, Interacting with Others, Decision Making, Value to the Team and others, this allows
it to be used by busy people in a very practical way.
