Investors in People Makes an Impact
Was the title for a recent article published by the "Institute of Employment Studies"
who have established that almost four fifths of employers (79%) that have been recognised
as Investors in People believed that the initiative had improved the quality of their workforce.
Perhaps more importantly, around two thirds of the respondents believed that their involvement
had made a positive contribution to business performance.
The survey also reveals a high level of joint involvement between Investors and other
initiatives. 54% of employers are jointly involved with ISO 9000 and 70% are involved with
NVQ’s.
One of the key benefits, employers believed, was Investors had particularly improved employee
commitment and provided an increased understanding of the businesses wider aims and objectives.
